About Big Blues Bob
"Big Blues Bob Michaels has been part of the Toledo and Detroit blues scene for more than 35 years and has backed such greats as Big Jack Reynolds and the legendary Little Walter Mitchell. Before fronting his own band, Bob played drums for the legendary Griswolds blues band for more than 17 years, traveling the country, performing at various clubs and blues festivals, recording the final work with Art and Roman in 2000 with Blue Suit Recordds, "Cock-Eyed World." In 1999, Big Blues Bob, considered on of the finest blues guitar performers in the Midwest, was recognized at the Toledo Rock Rhythm and Blues Festival as the 1999 Little Walter Mitchell Award Winner for fronting the Thin Ice Band."
